The most crucial information to ever know about is the Gospel. What is truly incredible about this news, the Gospel, is how we are not called to be qualified to learn about it. We do not need to be scientists, doctors, lawyers, or law officials but rather people that will simply just listen.
Now what is the Gospel?
The Gospel, or Good News, is the proclamation of the free Salvation available to us, sinners, made presentable by Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins and rose again.
But what is this Salvation and why do we need it?
The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
This means everyone on Earth, past present, or future is a sinner and needs Salvation.
What did Jesus do that offers us the hand of Salvation?
The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
This wonderful verse means that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice needed to pay for our sins. Christ died on a cross, taking our place because He loved us, and rose from the dead on the third day.
Is this Salvation free?
The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
All of this means, Christ died for you and me because we are found guilty before God, giving us the choice to accept His gift of Salvation. We are not forced this gift, but just know you have a loving God who is extending an open hand to save you and offer you eternal security and forever peace.
